This year we are going to start off our camp experience
with a SPLASH! Join your favorite camp counselors as we
surf the waves for the week. Get wet with all kinds of
outdoor water games and activities. Campers will participate
in the ultimate pool party! A great way to cool off
during a hot summer week
Help us get geared up for our annual Bragg Creek Days happening July 16-18! Campers will get to experience all of the hype and excitement surrounding this special festival. We will be building a float this week to ride on in the Bragg Creek Parade. We will also take a special trip to Calaway Park.
Howdy cowboys/girls! The Stampede fun isn’t over yet. Come on out to celebrate a real western Stampede week at camp! From bandits to bandanas we’ll giddy up all kinds of games and activities to keep any cowpoke on their spurs! Campers will get unique opportunities to experience the exciting life of a cowboy or cowgirl.
Animal lovers will fall in LOVE with all of the exciting
things we
will do this week! Don’t miss out on this great camp that will
give your animal lover a chance to get their paws wet in fun
activities, games and field trips! We will learn all about
animals
and take an exciting trip to visit some very special animals.
Do you ever wish that Christmas came more than once a year? This week campers will get to celebrate all of their favorite holidays! Imagine a costume party, trick-or-treating, painting Easter eggs and decorating a Christmas tree all in one week! We’ll take a fun-filled adventure to the Let’s Play Centre!
So much to do, so little time! Grab your magic hat, you won’t want to miss out on this spectacular week! We will enter the world of magic and mystery as we do magic tricks and science experiments. We’ll take a trip to the Telus Science Centre and explore our way with crafts, games and activities through this fantastic week.
Let’s end our camp experience with yet another SPLASH! Due to the extreme popularity of our water week camps, we decided to add an extra week for all those water loving campers. This camp is the ultimate summer pool party and a great way to say farewell to summer!
While our theme changes from week to week at Camp Rivendell, we have a few constant activities that we do every week at camp. Read on f or all of the information!
You can sleep in a little later on Tuesday mornings because campers will enjoy a pancake breakfast every Tuesday morning! Bring a big appetite and enjoy a delicious stack of pancakes to start off the day.
There is no need to pack a lunch on Thursday because we will provide a delicious meal of spaghetti and meat balls! Campers must still bring snacks and drinks with them.
Each week we will take a field trip to different locations based on our theme of the week. Please make sure to read your camp newsletter carefully so you know how to prepare for the day.
Why should the fun stop at the end of the day? Well on Thursdays it doesn’t have to! The Thursday night camp-over is a great opportunity for the Dwarves and Elves (kids 7-11 years) to spend a night filled with camp games, songs, and stories around a great campfire. Kids will have the chance to help make their own dinner, and the next morning breakfast is provided before enjoying their last day of camp on Friday.
We finish off every week of camp with an exciting trip to Allen Bill Pond to play water games and have a picnic. Please come to camp with your swim suit underneath your clothing & don’t forget your towel, sunscreen, hat, extra clothing for after and a bag lunch. Parents are invited to join us during our picnic and play time at the Pond. Please note that half day hobbits stay until 2:00 pm on Fridays.
